I went up to 3rd floor.

The window was open.

I stayed there while D.6 went to report.

P.S.A.72 ham shuipo.

On morning of 21st July I was on general patrál.

On patrol I approached scavenging lane between Lai Chi Kok Road and Tại Ham Street.

I was in Prince Edward load about 2.55 a.m.

In the lane I saw a Chinese male about 3 paces inside facing me leaning against wall.

Accused is the man.

He was holding his left foot with right hand above right knee.

I asked what was the matter.

He said there had been a fire and he had fallen down.

I got no further replies to questions.

I found he had a wound on inside of left ankle, bleeding profusely

I took him by the lane to Ceder Street because the light was better.

In Cedar Street I noticed bloodstained footprints as shown in Ext.10.

I took accused to same side of street.

I tied my handkerchief round the wound and applied tourniquet above knee.

I used part of his singlet. He was wearing white shorte.

I put him in ricksha and took him towards station.

I went along Lai Chi Kok Road.

At No.211 P.C.D.6 made a report to me.

I left accused with D.6 and went up to 3rd floor.

I found A.91 at door of cubicle.

In cubicle I found two dead bodies - man and woman as in Ext.5

I left D.91 in charge and returned to street.

I took accused to station and handed him over to D.33 while I went into charge room.

I then carried accused into charge room.

As we carried him a silver dollar fell from his clothing.

Up to that time I had only slight suspicion that accused might be connected with orime at 211.

I mentioned it to Inspector when I reported.

I took accused to Kowloon Hospital about 4.15 a.m.

Before I put accused into the ricksha I told him I was going to arrest hitch.

He was in a fainting condition.
